-- The Hungry Man --

Zen Master Baizhang Huaihai (720-814) said to the assembly, "There is someone who never eats but doesn't say he's hungry; there is someone who eats all day but doesn't say he's full."
No one could answer this.

  1. The non-meditative person does not know the spiritual hunger. So they never say or feel that they require to be in state of meditation. Whereas a true mediator's all tasks are meditative. He eats so much meditation in a day / week, still feels the hunger for meditation and is never full. Lucky are the one's who tasted & liked the spiritual food..

  2. Lolz... One interpretation is that soul never eats and mind is always eating! But all these are just interpretations. These Zen stories are just there to motivate people to realize that oneself! :)
    Thanks for your comments :)
